What is Ketosis?

Ketosis is the medical term for fat burning. Ketosis is a normal physiological state caused by very normal and healthy body functions contrary to the myths, distortions, and falsehoods published by vegetarians and other high-carbohydrate diet supporters.

If carbohydrates are eliminated for approximately three days then the body is forced to burn the stored fat for energy. Ketosis eliminates hunger and cravings and creates more energy. Patients on the Dramatic Weight Loss Program do not look anorexic because Ketosis protects lean muscle mass.

Ketosis allows the body to function efficiently and live off of stored body fat when necessary. When the body is burning fat it cannot burn muscle at the same time.

Do you know that you can trick your body into believing that you are not eating?

Your body gets “lazy” when you eat a high carbohydrate diet. Your body expects an energy source to continuously enter the body. When you stop eating carbohydrates, the body thinks that you have stopped eating.

The body makes us crave carbohydrates, because it uses carbohydrates for energy. However, it only uses a small amount for energy. It converts most of the carbohydrates to fat and stores it in the places we do not want fat stored.
